Decent spot for a short stay
I had a private room with two beds, but it was clean and tidy. Staff were super friendly and breakfast was solid! It’s located close to downtown and the subway, which made getting around easy. No elevator was a bummer, though, especially with my bags.

The location was convenient for accessing various attractions. I appreciated the cleanliness of my room. It was nice to see laminate flooring instead of carpet. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The area provided many dining options within walking distance. I felt secure with the door locked at night.
No elevator was available for the stairs. The bathroom stall doors needed repairs as they did not close properly. Wifi connection was inconsistent, which was a minor inconvenience.

The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to public transport and attractions. Staff were friendly and the breakfast provided was decent, featuring the essentials. However, the common areas could use a better clean and the bathrooms need updates. Overall, it worked well for a budget stay.

A solid selection for a short stay in Chicago with good value for money. The American breakfast was pretty filling and hit the spot before heading out. Bring your own lock for the locker to keep your stuff safe.

I chose Parthenon for its budget-friendly rates during my first Chicago Marathon. The staff welcomed me warmly, easing my worries about leaving my valuables while I was out. The dorm-style setup felt comforting, with clean rooms and a nice kitchen. I loved how quiet it was despite being in a bustling area. A short walk brought me to a great view of the skyline, which I appreciated. However, the lack of elevators meant hauling my luggage up the stairs was a workout I didn’t expect. Also, ventilating the rooms better would improve comfort, as it felt a bit musty at times. Still, a solid experience overall, especially for the price.

Had an awesome time with my friends! We explored the Art Institute and took a stroll by the lake. The place was clean, the staff was super friendly, and breakfast was solid. Walking distance to plenty of bars and cafes. Just a heads up, there's no elevator, so be ready to haul your luggage upstairs!
One downside was the lack of elevators, which meant we had to drag our bags up three flights of stairs.

Had a fantastic time with my friends! We visited the Art Institute and took a stroll to the Willis Tower. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to find nearby shops. The shared bathrooms were clean, and our room was comfy! Perfect for budget travelers.
The only downside was the shaky door knob in our room, which could be fixed for better security.

We loved the free breakfast, even if it was just toast and cornflakes. Plus, the location was pretty good for walking into downtown, but we had a nice stroll to get there—perfect with our baby in the stroller!
In my wife’s opinion, there should be more private family bathrooms.

The stay was nice, as I enjoyed the comfy beds in my dorm and the free soap in the showers was a helpful touch. There’s a cool lounge area to chill out in and a lovely courtyard for some fresh air. Just a heads up, the lighting in the room was a bit finicky at times, but it didn’t bother me much. 😊

Wonderful location and friendly atmosphere
I had a fantastic time at this hostel! The location in Greektown is perfect for exploring, and the staff were incredibly friendly, always willing to help with any questions. The communal area was enjoyable, with free hot drinks available. However, the wifi connection could use improvement, as it was a bit spotty at times.
